Welcome to AMEA / BDSM

Ever since the foundation of Amea // World Museum of Erotic Art in 1996, we have received lots of requests to devote a site entirely to BDSM. Those requests came from two groups of people; from those who were attracted by the historical exhibits we had about BDSM and indirectly from those who thought there was no place for BDSM in our 'fine museum of Erotic Art'.

This site is not for minors and people who are easily offended.

The history of Erotic Art cannot be told whith the exclusion of BDSM, because sexual roleplay in its many forms is as old as mankind. We will be the last ones to condemn a form of love and sex that does not fit in what a majority of people labels as 'difficult to understand', 'not my cup of tea' or more direct; 'downright repulsive'.

The art you are about to see depicts the phantasies of the artists and those who find joy and fullfillment in BDSM. Still, a warning is in place.

The many bondages and body restricting setups on drawings and photographs here are done by specialists or artists. Trying to copy any of that in your own house can be very dangerous. If your heart is drawn by what you see, contact a serious BDSM group first to learn what can and what cannot be done.
Concensual sex is not a synonym for 'anything goes'. Last but not least: *always* use specially designed BDSM safety devices and ropes.

Whether you are a starting Dominant or submissive, you will need education to lead you to healthy and fullfilling play.

If you have long time experience with BDSM it is also good to keep your information up-to-date.
